Saturday was the block’s annual Blocktoberfest, the weather was absolutely perfect. Two constants at our block party are the tie-dye and the chili contest. Both were stellar this year…
The chili competition was tough this year, they were all so good it was hard to vote for only three. I entered with Biz’s Best Buffalo Chicken Chili recipe. The recipe is perfect as is, I used the buffalo style Frank’s wing sauce and added some buffalo Tabasco too.
It was a winner, 2nd place! I made a double batch since I was asked to enter a chili in the Fall Fest on Sunday. It took 3rd, winning! Well not really though becuase it all got eaten and I did not keep any for myself. I am going to have to make another batch soon. Like this weekend.
Winning! Love it – my sisters co-worker won 1st place at a chili cook off – I agree, its so easy and good – especially when I use frito dippers to scoop it up!
Lucky, where did you find the buffalo tabasco??
I can’t wait to make it again! I “got” the Tabasco from a restaurant near our house. 🙂
I meant that my sisters co-worker made my same chili to win, wasn’t sure if that was clear!
Recipe? Sounds delish!
Here is a the recipe link. So good!!
Congrats on the win! Sounds like a pretty fun neighborhood festivity.
Thanks. It is a blast, we have a fun block!
