My daughter decided she wanted to make all her valentines this year. She is over the store bought ones, dread this sounded like a major effort to me. I stumbled across some origami heart valentines that were right up her alley. She loves origami and can make some wicked complicated stuff. I am always baffled by the directions when she asks me for help. I have to completely focus and read through it a zillion times before I get what they are saying. She has learned to just figured it out herself. My brain just doesn’t work that way.
I had her give it a try and it proved to be an easy project for her. She made about 25 of hearts in about an hour. And here I thought it was going to take a few nights, hey I was impressed. Once I finally found a store that sold Dum-Dum lollipops (the Blow Pops I got were WAY to big) it didn’t take us long to stuck them in and attach the little note. I think she did a great job on what I am sure is her last year of handing out Valentines.
The four year-old chose a valentine with a pirate theme.
We all had fun working on valentines this year. Hope everyone has a Happy Valentines Day!
Those turned out really good! I miss those school holidays. Pretty sure I don't have to send any Valentine's with Hannah to college tomorrow! 😀
Those are adorable! She did SUCH a good job! LOVE them!
Thanks to you both. They were pretty proud of themselves.
Your daughter's origami hearts came out great! Thanks for sharing the link to my site. I appreciate it 🙂
Those pirates are darling. Kind of wishing I made those for my daughters valentines. I guess there's always next year.
