I am a huge fan of Eminem. Perhaps you caught that in the title of my blog. Watching the Real Slim Shady video it is hard to believe it is ten years-old, all the references are still relevant. I have to admit I did not know he had a new album coming out until I ran across The New York Times column Questions for Eminem. The connection gives me a chuckle.
His new album is titled Recovery, sums up his current state of being. Powerful lyrics, unexpected collaborations, great songs. Check out a few of my favorites, Not Afraid and Love the Way You Lie (feat. Rihanna), and Cinderella Man. The majority of the album rocks, I haven’t stopped listening since I bought it last week.
one of my favorite lyrics from On Fire:
U wanna get graphic
We could go the scenic route
You couldn’t make a bulimic puke
On a piece of f**king corn and peanut poop
So many great lyrics. A few favorites;
Cinderella Man:
How f'n irritated are you,
How much in ya face am I
Not Afraid:
so f**k the world
Feed it beans, it's gassed up
like a f**k you for Christmas
His gift is a curse
