Lately I have been listening to more Podcasts. I know, late in the game on this. Pursuing iTunes I notice that Alvin and The Chipmunks: The Squeakquel is the #2 top podcast. This is so wrong for many reasons. 1) There is only 1 podcast. It is a 1 minute clip of the film. 2) People have taken the time to rate it, 136 people to be exact, and most have rated it 5 stars 4) the movie was not so great 3) A movie clip a podcast does not make. Anyway, I am looking for some suggestions on new ones to start listening to. The Chipmunks being #2 is a prime example of how hard it is to dig through all the listings in the iTunes Store and actually find something you like. Decision overload which tends to just make me stop looking.
Now my desire for an iPhone is not too great. Don’t get me wrong, I think they are awesome. My lack of want is more due to the fact I have a work cell phone and I take what I get. I would consider one if I had to buy my own phone. At this point I would be more inclined to get an iTouch. Though still I can so most stuff on my phone so I easily talk myself out of it. If it had a camera, different story. But a topic on of my podcasts was sleep and they mentioned an iPhone app, the Sleep Cycle Alarm Clock . It is an alarm clock that analyzes your sleep patterns and wakes you in the lightest sleep phase – so you wake up feeling rested. It also stores and graphs your sleep patterns every night. All for 99 cents, pretty damn cool! Based on reviews it appears to actually work. Though Alvin has taught us those aren’t foul proof! But hey for under buck, not much to lose. Well, except in my case where it would cost a few hundred dollars since I have no hardware to put it on. My sleep has been so horrific the past year that I may have to hijack the husband’s iTouch this weekend and give it a try.
Another topic was the movie Invasion of the Body Snatchers . I have never seen this movie, but all the talk of pod people has me intrigued. I am waiting it from Netflix. I just hope it doesn’t nightmares and further mess up the little sleep I do get.
